Deprected gem of Eric Hollensbe interferes with activesupport

Why does ch.oddb.org need activesupport gem?

Short answer: because of PayPal.

also, how is deprecated connected to the issue

Erik Hollensbe seems to be the maintainer of dbi and other related packages

Ok ch.oddb Paypal needs activesupport but dbi-0.4.5 wants deprecated 2.0.1

but the they way activesupport uses the meaning "deprecated" is different from how the deprecated library uses the meaning deprecated! That causes a collision between deprecated and activesupport.
